With the Stanley Cup playoffs in full swing, we’ve got a trio of Monday selections for our NHL picks and are eyeing a 6.68 pay-out.
Bwin offers numerous betting markets on every match in ice hockey’s premier competition and here are our best bets from this evening’s NHL odds.
Penguins vs Rangers over 6.5 goals @ 1.91
These teams have put on a great show so far, with Pittsburgh edging ahead 2-1 in the series thanks to Saturday’s 7-4 success on home ice at PPG Paints Arena.
The Penguins prevailed 4-3 in Game 1 in New York before the Rangers rallied for a 5-2 victory at Madison Square Garden.
After seeing end-to-end action and comebacks galore in the opening three encounters, we’re hoping for more of the same tonight in the first of our NHL predictions.
Panthers to win at Capitals in RT @ 1.91
Florida were handed a pretty severe wake-up call when thrashed 6-1 at Capital One Arena on Saturday to fall 2-1 behind in the series and simply must respond in Game 4.
The Panthers actually bagged the opening goal over the weekend through Jonathan Huberdeau but it was all downhill from there on.
“So far, the story written right now is they’ve out-competed us, out-willed us, pretty much in every puck battle, every area,” slammed coach Andrew Brunette. “That’s something we’re going to have to figure out here.”
The Presidents’ Trophy winners had prevailed 5-1 in Game 2, though, and just need to step up their intensity to get back on track.
Predators +1.5 vs Avalanche @ 1.83
Colorado have taken control of this series with three straight victories to justify their position as outright favourites for Stanley Cup glory.
However, Nashville only went down 2-1 on the road in Game 2 and played better on Saturday than the final scoreline suggests, being tied at 3-3 halfway through the second period before going on to lose 7-3 at Bridgestone Arena.
Captain Roman Josi commented: “We liked our game and thought we played a lot better than we did in the first two games. There’s not one person in this room that doesn’t believe we can turn this around. We’re going to come out on Monday and play aggressive.”
The Predators will be determined not to be on the wrong end of a clean sweep in front of their own fans, so we’re backing them to be competitive in our NHL picks.
