Calgary will be relieved to return home after a trio of daunting road games and should find Ottawa far more conducive company at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Senators have only played once since mid-December due to Covid issues and that was when thrashed 6-0 at Toronto on New Year’s Day.
With the Flames having already beaten their opponents 4-0 this term, 2.0 for them to oblige by more than one clear goal appeals from the NHL odds.

Ottawa put together a useful 5-2-1 sequence last month before an extended Christmas break apparently set them back.
The Sens were routed by the Maple Leafs when returning to action and have since had to cope with another 12 days on the sidelines.
Head coach DJ Smith has been hampered by injuries at the centre position and Tim Stutzle is now absent due to Covid protocols.
Versatile captain Nick Paul will fill in down the middle here and is just happy to be back playing after all the time off.
“We’re ready for the real thing at this point,” he declared. “We need to focus on our first couple of shifts.
“Getting right back into the game, skating hard, hitting hard, and from there letting our system and skills take over.”
However, it is asking a lot to be fully up to speed following just one competitive outing in 25 days.
Even without the rust, Ottawa were already among the league’s lowest scorers in the first period, while only two teams have conceded fewer goals than Calgary in the opening stanza.
