The game against Sweden was always likely to be the toughest in Group C for the Netherlands and they certainly did not have things all their own way, especially during a nightmare first half.
Jonna Andersson gave Sweden a half-time lead, with Dutch goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal and defender Aniek Nouwen forced off injured.
But Jill Roord responded early in the second period and wasted a glorious chance for a winner in the closing stages.

They might have taken all three points had substitute Telma Encarnacao not been thwarted by a post at the death.
With two tougher games to come, that looked a must-win match and Portugal are now under pressure to defy the odds here.
They have lost their last four meetings with the Dutch, conceding 16 goals, and have lost seven of eight matches in total, with Miedema scoring a hat-trick in the last two meetings.
