Former Premier League striker Trevor Benjamin played nearly 450 games and scored more than a century of goals during a long playing career during which he featured for 27 clubs, most memorably in the Premier League for Leicester. Kevin Davies was part of the Chesterfield team which progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1997. After impressing during a short stint at Southampton, Blackburn splashed out a then-club record £7.5million for his services in 1998. Davies returned to Saints a year later and, following a brief loan spell at Millwall, joined Bolton, where he spent 10 years, scoring 84 times in 407 appearances. Davies’ last team was Preston, retiring in 2015, and he also won one cap for England at the age of 33 – as a substitute against Montenegro in 2010.

With Chesterfield fighting against relegation from League One and Bolton gunning for promotion back to the Championship, we caught up with Davies to discuss his former clubs’ chances and well as getting his thoughts on some topical issues in the game.

Jamie Forrester enjoyed prolific spells at Scunthorpe, Northampton and Lincoln during a career which saw him make more than 550 appearances, scoring a goal just over every three games.

Now 42, Forrester played for 10 clubs in England and also experienced life in Europe with Auxerre and FC Utrecht before retiring in 2009.

With a string of his former clubs, particularly Scunthorpe and Lincoln, having successful seasons, we spoke to Forrester about his old employers to get his thoughts and predictions.
