Group F

This could be the last chance for Belgium's golden generation to pick up some major silverware after finishing third four years ago. Russia 2018 runners-up Croatia are also relying on valiant veterans, so energetic duo Morocco and Canada are far from lost causes in Group F.

The Red Devils will again look to Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne for inspiration, but 12 other players scored in qualifying, while Luka Modric's Croatia rattled off seven wins and two draws after an opening loss in their pool to pip Russia to top spot.

Morocco won all six group games during qualification and crushed DR Congo 4-1 in the second leg of a play-off to seal back-to-back World Cup appearances, but a fall-out between head coach Vahid Halilhodzic and star player Hakim Ziyech cast a shadow over that success.

Canada upset Mexico and USA to win the CONCACAF section and end a 36-year drought since the first and only time they featured in the World Cup finals, with an enthusiastic and energetic squad epitomised by the incredible athleticism of Bayern Munich ace Alphonso Davies.
