Euro 2020 top scorer odds: Kane cut again for Golden Boot

Harry Kane has been trimmed to 3/1 in bwin’s Euro 2020 top scorer odds after grabbing England’s winning goal against Denmark.

The Tottenham striker took his tally to four, just one behind joint leaders Cristiano Ronaldo and Patrik Schick ahead of Sunday’s final.

Kane had an extra-time penalty saved by Kasper Schmeichel but pounced on the rebound to put the Three Lions into a decider with Italy.

“As a penalty taker, sometimes the keeper dives the right way and, to be fair, the penalty wasn’t executed as good as I’ve obviously done in the past,” said Kane.

“I was fortunate to see it bounce back but that’s football. Sometimes, as I’ve said all along, as a striker it falls your way and thankfully it did.”

Kane will be just the second man to lead England into a major tournament final after Bobby Moore lifted the World Cup in 1966.

He added: “It’s going to be an amazing occasion and I’m extremely proud leading the boys out in any game, no matter making history and getting to our first final.

“As the game gets closer, I’m sure the excitement and nerves will kick in. It will be a special day but there will be a winner and a loser and we have to make sure we are on that winning side.”

Portugal star Ronaldo and Czech Republic forward Schick are both quoted at 27/20 to claim Golden Boot glory, with dead-heat rules applying.

Sterling still in the hunt

Raheem Sterling has three goals to his credit and can be backed at 20/1 in bwin’s Euro 2020 top scorer odds.

The Manchester City ace was hugely influential in the 2-1 success versus Denmark.

After being denied from close range by Schmeichel, he was ready to tap in Bukayo Saka’s cross before Simon Kjaer scored an own goal and won the penalty which led to Kane’s decider.

“It was a top performance,” said Sterling. “We had to dig in deep after the first goal we conceded in the tournament but we regrouped well and showed a good team spirit to come back and win the game.

“It was difficult going behind but we knew we had to stay patient – we knew with the legs we’ve got, the aggressiveness and the power we have in the team, it would be a matter of time before we broke them down.

“It’s another step in the right direction but once we’re back in the dressing room it’s over and we’ve got to focus on the weekend now. It’s step-by-step and that’s all we can do.”

Several players have netted twice for Italy, including star front men Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne, who are 100/1 and 200/1 respectively in this market.
