Scottish Cup final odds: Celtic fancied to hit Dons for six

Celtic will be all the rage to complete a domestic Treble when facing Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on Saturday May 27.

The Dons have already had to settle for being a distant second best in the Premiership and lost the League Cup final 3-0, so a sixth straight defeat to the Hoops this term is on the cards.

Aberdeen did put up some resistance in their most recent meeting, though, which makes 2/1 for Celtic to win and both teams to score worth putting in our Scottish Cup final betting tips.

A Look At Celtic’s Betting Odds

We’re running out of superlatives to describe Celtic’s domestic form this season and Brendan Rodgers will have no trouble in keeping his troops focused on this last big test.

A highlight of their dominance over Aberdeen has been the ability to hit the ground running at the start of high-profile encounters, with the Hoops incredibly 3-0 ahead after only 11 minutes earlier this month.

On other occasions, they have gone in front after 13, 16 and 23 minutes, helping Celtic to lead at half-time and full-time in four of their five clashes this term.

Looking at the Scottish Cup final odds, 29/20 for the favourites to achieve that feat once more here has to stand out.

A Look At Aberdeen’s Betting Odds

Aberdeen managed a couple of 2-1 victories over Celtic at Pittodrie last season but they have sadly come up short when going head-to-head this term.

When these sides met in the League Cup decider at Hampden, the Dons were simply chasing shadows all day long as they were undone by an alarming inability to deny their opponents space.

On such a wide-open pitch it could well be a case of same again here but Aberdeen did at least show some positive signs going forward themselves in a 3-1 loss earlier this month.

“You can’t give Celtic a three-goal head start and expect to get anything but we had chance after chance, so we actually could have,” declared Derek McInnes.

“I think we’ve been gradually getting closer to them in terms of getting a result. I feel that game will make us more confident going into the final, even though we’ve lost.”

Ultimately, Celtic still look a class apart, though, and 16/5 for the Hoops to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 completes our Scottish Cup final predictions.
