The Europa League group reaches its climax on Thursday night with so many places in the last 32 still to be decided. We’ve scoured the markets in all 16 fixtures and come with tips on three of the matches which make a tasty 34/1 treble.
Braga v Shakhtar Donetsk
Group H winners Shakhtar Donetsk have been imperious in Europe and domestically and there is no reason why their run should come to a halt at Portuguese side Braga. Shakhtar are 10 points in front of Dynamo Kiev at the top of Ukraine’s top flight and have a perfect record in the group stage of the Europa League, winning all five matches. Furthermore, Shakhtar have scored the most goals of all 32 teams (17). Shakhtar beat Braga 2-0 in the first match despite losing Fred to a red card two minutes into the second half which makes the 14/5 on offer for them to complete a clean sweep great value.
Young Boys v Astana
Both sides are out of the competition and are effectively playing for third place. The teams drew 0-0 when they met in Kazakhstan but things may well turn out differently in Switzerland. Although a repeat of that scoreline is 13/2 and the draw is 27/10, the both teams to score market at 19/20 is too good to turn down. Young Boys have been tearing it up at home in the Swiss league, scoring 32 goals in their nine home matches at an average of over 3.5 goals a game. Four of Astana’s five Europa League games have involved both teams scoring and with little to play for these sides can play with freedom.
Qarabag v Fiorentina
Fiorentina just need a point to guarantee top spot in Group J while a victory for Azerbaijan outfit Qarabag will secure their place in the last 32, although even a draw would be enough if PAOK fail to beat Slovan Liberec at home. Qarabag went to pieces in the first match after Elvin Yunuszada was sent off half an hour into the game, with the Italians going on to win 5-1 in Florence. Even with 10 men, Qarabag still managed to score while Fiorentina’s last three matches have involved both teams scoring. Viola will want to make amends for their last-minute defeat by PAOK on matchday five and with Qarabag having to equal the Greek side’s result against Slovan Liberec, gaps could appear if things aren’t going the way of the hosts. Fiorentina to win and both teams to score at 15/4 is a steal.
