Edmonton Oilers Odds

Edmonton made a real statement of intent when powering to a 5-1 win at Pittsburgh on Tuesday, improving their recent hot streak to 11-2-1.

Connor McDavid netted his 44th goal of the campaign and provided three assists in yet another outstanding display.

“I think that’s what the best players in the world do – they rise to the occasion,” said coach Jay Woodcroft.

“What he’s doing here this season, I don’t think it gets appreciated by everybody because there’s almost a consensus that it’s just ‘McDavid being McDavid’.

“He’s at a career-high and he’s driving our team playing the right way. He’s driven to win.”

Leon Draisaitl has been even more prolific with 55 goals to his credit, but Evander Kane has also come on strong of late, netting six times in five outings.

Looking at the NHL odds for this contest, Kane could be the best value to break the deadlock at 10.0.

San Jose Sharks Odds

San Jose’s form has been up and down like a yo-yo all season and they followed up three wins out of four with a 5-2 drubbing by Anaheim on home ice.

Head coach Bob Boughner refused to be too harsh on his players, though, stating: “I was okay with our game, I really was.

“I felt like they capitalised on their chances and we didn’t. I just thought it was one of those games.

“It would have been nice to win our last home game but we just couldn’t find that goal we needed early.”

Timo Meier could be a visiting player to watch out for in the individual props markets.

The Swiss winger has a team-high 76 points, with career-best tallies in both goals and assists, having netted in three of his last four road games.

Let’s add 2.65 for Meier to light the lamp at any time to our Edmonton Oilers vs San Jose Sharks predictions.
