Tottenham will bid for a second straight International Champions Cup win when taking on Roma in New Jersey in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Spurs started out in this competition with an eventful 4-2 defeat of PSG whereas Roma drew 1-1 with the French giants before losing out on penalties.
The Premier League outfit are now rated worthy favourites at 27/20 in our Tottenham vs Roma betting tips.
A Look At Tottenham Hotspur’s Betting Odds
Tottenham finished last season with a goal blitz, netting 13 times in wins over Leicester and Hull, and picked up where they left off when beating PSG in Florida.
Spurs were aided by the dismissal of German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp but Christian Eriksen had already fired in a wonder strike and Toby Alderweireld was also on target from long range.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted getting his players fit was the priority at this stage but added: “Winning is a habit and we need to keep that and keep the same feeling from how we finished last season.”
With the benefit of having a settled side, 11/4 for Spurs to score three times or more again appeals from the Tottenham vs Roma odds.
A Look At Roma’s Betting Odds
New recruits Hector Moreno and Lorenzo Pellegrini started for Roma in their Detroit draw against PSG and the Italian outfit initially lacked cohesion up front.
However, after PSG had taken a deserved lead, young Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq latched onto a through ball from Gerson to equalise on the hour mark.
Roma had a couple of strong penalty appeals turned down at Comerica Park before eventually going down 5-3 in a shoot-out.
Losing Mohamed Salah to Liverpool is a big blow but Roma should still be an attractive team going forward when up to full speed, with their final six Serie A games producing 31 goals last term.
We’re rounding off our Tottenham vs Roma predictions by taking 11/5 for Spurs to win and over 2.5 goals in the game combined.
