Germany began their bid for a ninth European title in ideal fashion as they stormed to a 4-0 win over Denmark at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Spain overcame the loss of world player of the year Alexia Putellas and the shock of conceding in the first minute to open with a 4-1 victory over Finland.
These two teams drew 1-1 when they met in February and another stalemate at 3.30 is our opening Germany Women vs Spain Women prediction.
Germany Odds
Lina Magull, Lea Schuller, Lena Lattwein and Alexandra Popp were on target as Germany gained revenge on Denmark, who beat them in the Euro 2017 quarter-finals.
Kathrine Kuhl added to Denmark’s misery when she was shown a second yellow card just before full-time.
Coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg said: “We were at it right away and created plenty of scoring chances we didn’t really take advantage of in the first half.
“We were incredibly dominant and aggressive. It was a great team effort by everyone involved.”
Germany cruised through qualifying with a 100 per cent record but their form in 2022 has been patchy.
They lost to Canada and England in the inaugural Arnold Clark Cup in February having started with a draw against Spain.
Their World Cup qualifying winning streak was then ended by Serbia before thrashing Switzerland 7-0 in a friendly prior to this tournament.
Looking at the Germany Women vs Spain Women odds, we like another draw and both teams to score at 4.40.
Spain Odds
The much-fancied Spaniards were stunned when Linda Sallstrom struck with just 50 seconds on the clock in their opener against Finland.
It felt like another hefty blow coming after the loss of star player Putellas through injury earlier in the week.
The Barcelona captain was expected to be one of the stars of the tournament but suffered cruciate ligament damage in training.
But Spain responded through captain Irene Paredes and Aitana Bonmati levelled before half-time.
Lucia Garcia made victory safe after the break and Mariona Caldentey added gloss with a stoppage-time penalty.
Bonmati said: “We have overcome adversities, bad news — this is a team. We know how to pick ourselves up.”
Spain dropped just two points in qualifying and these two sides are expected to advance to the quarter-finals.
We complete our Germany Women vs Spain Women betting tips by settling for another 1-1 draw at 6.50.
