Odds: Barcelona 17/100, Draw 27/4, Celta Vigo 27/2

Kick Off: 2030, 11/01/2018

Stadium: Camp Nou

Barcelona have had some tough battles with Celta Vigo in recent times and we’re expecting another good contest when they meet in the second leg of their Copa del Rey clash on Thursday.

The first encounter finished 1-1 at Balaidos, while Celta have already drawn 2-2 at Camp Nou in LaLiga this term, as well as beating Barca at home in that competition for the past two seasons.

It may be asking too much to match the Catalan giants on this occasion, but 23/20 for both teams to score in a home win is worth putting in our Barcelona vs Celta Vigo betting predictions.

A Look At Barcelona’s Betting Odds

Barcelona lifted this trophy for a record 29th time when completing a hat-trick of cup triumphs by beating Alaves 3-1 in last season’s final.

However, Ernesto Valverde has fielded much-changed line-ups in the competition so far this term and is expected to continue that trend here.

Jose Arnaiz is one of those to have benefited from getting some valuable game time and could be a player to follow in the goalscorer markets.

The 22-year-old bagged 12 goals for Valladolid in Spain’s second tier last season and has struck six times in 18 games for Barcelona B in that division.

Arnaiz netted for the senior side against Murcia in the cup towards the end of October and struck in the draw with Celta at Balaidos a week ago.

Looking at the Barcelona vs Celta Vigo odds, he appeals at 11/10 to score at any time here and 5/1 to break the deadlock again.

A Look At Celta Vigo’s Betting Odds

Celta Vigo have never tasted outright victory in this competition, being beaten finalists for the third time back in 2001.

Juan Carlos Unzue’s side finished a fine sixth in LaLiga a couple of seasons ago and reached the Europa League semis last term, before going out 2-1 on aggregate to Manchester United.

They are currently down in 15th but have picked up of late, with their last six games featuring two wins and draws against both Barca and Real Madrid.

Young Uruguay forward Maximiliano Gomez took his tally for the season to eight when equalising late on in Sunday’s 2-2 stalemate with the Whites.

He also netted when Celta picked up a league point at Camp Nou at the start of December and 3/1 for him to hit the target here is tempting enough to be included in our Barcelona vs Celta Vigo betting tips.
