Odds: Cologne 8/5, Draw 12/5, Arsenal 31/20

Kick Off: 1800, 23/11/2017

Stadium: Stadion Koln

TV: BT Sport

Cologne produced the highlight of a pretty miserable campaign when romping to victory in their last Europa League game and can take advantage of Arsenal being already through.

The Bundesliga basement dwellers hammered Bate Borisov 5-2 three weeks ago and need another win here to keep their hopes of making the knockout stages alive.

With the Gunners set to rotate their squad in Germany, 8/5 for a home victory is good value for our Cologne vs Arsenal betting predictions.

A Look At Cologne’s Betting Odds

Cologne’s domestic woes continued on Saturday when a 1-0 loss at Mainz left them with a measly two points from 12 games in that competition.

However, they showed plenty of spirit when coming from 2-1 down to thrash Bate, playing fine attacking football and producing some smart finishing.

Peter Stoger has been hit with some unfortunate injuries this term, with highly-rated defenders Jonas Hector and Dominique Heintz sorely missed.

However, the Billy Goats do still have some neat players and will be roared on by a passionate home crowd – images of their Emirates Stadium invasion remain fresh in the memory.

A high-tempo performance may force the Gunners on to the back foot and we like 9/4 for promising French forward Sehrou Guirassy to score at any time from the Cologne vs Arsenal odds.

A Look At Arsenal’s Betting Odds

Arsenal recovered from going behind to Jhon Cordoba’s early, long-range strike when eventually prevailing 3-1 in London, before away wins at Bate and Red Star Belgrade all but assured their progress.

However, there was a drop in intensity when the Gunners were held to a goalless draw by Red Star at Emirates Stadium, with Olivier Giroud missing chances and Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott failing to impress.

“I think they started stronger than us, they played very well,” admitted Arsene Wenger. “They played at a high pace, they were always dangerous on the breaks.”

With this fixture coming in between a derby win over Tottenham and a tough trip to Burnley in the Premier League, Wenger will not risk any of his big guns in Germany.

With leading fringe players Walcott and Giroud not even on the bench versus Spurs, they look doubtful too.

We’re completing our Cologne vs Arsenal betting tips by taking 35/4 for a 2-1 home victory.
