The 2024 Champions League final is upon us, with Real Madrid hoping to win Europe’s biggest club competition for the 15th time.
Their opponents at Wembley Stadium will be German side Borussia Dortmund, who many fans are delighted to see playing in the final tomorrow night, a spot very few thought they’d be in at the onset of the competition in September 2023.
Madrid are unsurprisingly the favourites heading into tomorrow’s final at 8/25, with Dortmund at 23/10 to win the UCL for the first time since 1997.
Those are the odds for either side to win the trophy, with Real Madrid winning the game in normal time at 63/100, and Dortmund are at 4/1 to be crowned winners after 90 minutes.
The game is big for obvious reasons, but also has the attention narrative of being the final fixture that Marco Reus will play for Dortmund. The club legend is leaving following tomorrow night’s final, with a move to the MLS expected to be on the horizon.
As well as that, Toni Kroos is set to leave Real Madrid this summer, with the Champions League final being the last game of his club career. The German midfielder will be retiring from football following Euro 2024 this summer. His final game will take place no later than July 14, the date of this year’s Euros final.
Immediately following the final this weekend, attention will return to Euro 2024, which England are the sole favourites to win the first time in history come July 14.
