Before you can start your football betting, you will need to register with bwin – see ‘How to register with bwin’ for more information on this. Once you have signed in to bwin.com with your new username and password, you should click the ‘Sports’ tab at the top of the page, which will then open up the Sportsbook betting product.
You will see a list of sports on the left-hand side which you can place bets on. Select ‘Football’ and a list of upcoming matches from across the globe will appear in chronological order in the centre of the page under the heading ‘Football: what’s next’. You can return to this page whenever you want at bwin.com/football.
Competitions which are not specific to individual countries, such as the Champions League, Europa League or international fixtures, will then be listed directly under the ‘Football’ title on the left navigation pane. You can click on these and a sub-menu will appear showing you how many football bets are currently available on each competition, while the next matches will be listed in the centre of the page.
If you want to bet on football matches in a particular country, hit any region name on the left navigation and a list of available leagues and cups will appear below. Select the one you want to place a bet on and the latest matches on offer in this competition will then appear in the centre of the screen.
Now you need to decide which match you want to bet on and which type of football bet you want to make. At this stage of the process, you will be able to see the ‘3Way’ prices for individual matches in the centre of the page. This is simply the betting odds available on each team winning the fixture and on the draw. It is important to note that this means you are picking a result for 90 minutes only – the odds offered do not incorporate extra-time or have any relation to aggregate scores.
However, if you want to place a football bet on a team to advance in a cup competition without them actually winning a particular match inside 90 minutes, there are markets available for these types of bets. With any match listed on the main bwin site, you will see a plus sign followed by a number to the right of the odds. This refers to the number of football betting markets available on this particular match – click the plus sign to see them in full.
Every selection you make will appear in the betslip, which can be found on the right-hand side of the page. You will then need to enter your stake and your possible winnings will be shown. If you are happy to proceed, then press next….and your football bet will be placed.
