ATP 1000 Indian Wells

The importance of the Indian Wells tennis tournament continues to grow. Considered by many bettors as the fifth Grand Slam, this American Masters 1000 has always lived up to the expectations created both sports-wise and financially. For this reason, since 2012, the increase in its earnings is remarkable. In this edition, more than fifteen million dollars will be distributed. Bet on tennis with Bwin.

Betting on the ATP season

The ATP circuit was created to counter the power of the Grand Slams, the next of which will be on Parisian clay (all bets on Roland Garros) and entices the best players to take part.

In tennis, the ATP Masters World Tour is an annual series of nine high-level tournaments featuring the elite men's players on the circuit.

Indian Wells is the flagship event of the ATP. The California resort, just 20 miles from the famous city of Palm Springs, is traditionally the opening tournament of the Masters 1000 Series. The next Masters will be the one in Miami, which always starts with qualifying (all bets on the Miami ATP qualifying).

Betting on the ATP 1000 Indian Wells tournament

Ivan Ljubicic, Lleyton Hewitt and more recently, Juan Martín Del Potro won it in 2018, Dominic Thiem in 2019 and Cameron Norrie in 2021.

The last three editions of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 have allowed a tennis player to win a title in this category for the first time in their career, which leads us to confirm that the men's circuit is increasingly open, with more candidates managing to lift the winner's trophy.

Recommended bets for the ATP Indian Wells

Rafael Nadal continues to adapt to the heat of Indian Wells. The first Masters 1000 of the season (March 10-20) on the ATP Tour is one of Nadal's favourite tournaments on American soil. The Spaniard is only one win away from the record holder of Masters 1000 titles, Novak Djokovic, with 40 titles.

The main absence will once again be the former world number one. Although the Serb is on the list of participants, his unvaccinated condition prevents him from entering the United States.

In the men's draw, Russia's Daniil Medvedev is the number one seed and one of the top favourites to win the tournament, but he will face competition at the highest level. In Indian Wells, he faces Rafael Nadal, who has already beaten the Russian twice this year. There will also be stars like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini.
