Azerbaijan GP

The circuit is located in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan and is impressive with its narrow section near the old city walls and beautiful architecture (all f1 sports bets).

Azerbaijan GP F1 Betting

The Baku city circuit is the fastest city circuit on the Formula 1 calendar. The first Grand Prix here was called the European GP, but since 2017 it has changed its name to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Baku is the newest urban circuit on the Formula 1 calendar, joining the ranks of Monaco, Melbourne and Singapore. At 6.003 km, the Baku city circuit is the second-longest on the current F1 calendar after Spa Francorchamps (7.004 km)

Although overtaking is possible at Baku, it is still a city circuit where you would prefer to have a position at the top of the grid given the risks involved both in fighting another car and the potential for race interruptions.

Betting on the Baku City Circuit

The city's circuit has 20 turns — 8 rights and 12 lefts. The 2.2-kilometer stretch along Neftchilar Avenue is the longest straightaway on the F1 calendar. The track is very fast, with an average speed of over 200 km/h and a top speed of over 350 km/h.

Baku has no high-speed corners to put energy into the tires. Make sports bets online with bwin.

For the drivers, this makes driving the car very difficult as they have to deal with a probably nervous car in the 90-degree turns. On a track where there is no runoff, with concrete walls looming on the outside of each corner, it makes Baku one of the toughest challenges of the year.

Recommended bets on the Azerbaijan GP

Unlike other city circuits, the Baku circuit offers space for overtaking and top speed. Drivers are at full throttle for more than two kilometers between Turn 16 and the pit straight.

With all its unique features, Baku has been one of the most unpredictable circuits in F1 since its first race in 2016. Sergio Perez's shocking podium finishes in 2016 and 2018, as well as Lance Stroll's third-place finish in 2017 ensure that Baku's unpredictability is built on a solid foundation. A recommended bet is to make live bets during the race.
