A duopoly has dominated the league for 30 years
Since the 2014-15 season, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev have finished in the top two places in the league.
In the longer term and since the inception of the championship in 1992, these two teams have won almost every title. There was only one exception during the creation of the championship, otherwise, the winner is pretty well always known in advance.
It should be noted that due to the military conflict in Donbas, Shakhtar has not played at home since 2014. With the widespread conflict in Ukraine, some teams must find an alternative home ground. Therefore, the pitches around Kiev and the western side of the country will host league matches. For all the teams involved in the European Cup, the "home" matches are held on Polish territory.

In more than one out of three games, no goal was scored before the end of the first half. Betting on 0-0 at the break is another recommended bet in Ukrainian Primera Liga.
Ukrainian teams are well organized, so the number of goals per game remains low, with an average of 2.66 goals per game in recent seasons.
