Kick Off: 0000, 08/06/2018

Stadium: Estadio Centenario

Uruguay will complete their World Cup preparations by entertaining Uzbekistan in Montevideo and a smooth success should be on the cards.

La Celeste won seven of their nine home games when qualifying for Russia 2018 by finishing second behind Brazil in the South American section.

This looks set to be a nice send-off for Oscar Tabarez’s team and we like 21/4 for a 3-0 triumph for our Uruguay vs Uzbekistan betting tips.

A Look At Uruguay’s Betting Odds

Since booking their place in this summer’s spectacular, Uruguay have produced a couple of clinical displays to lift the China Cup.

Star strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani were on target in a 2-0 defeat of the Czech Republic in the semi-finals of that tournament.

PSG forward Cavani then netted the crucial goal in a 1-0 triumph over Wales in the final at Guangxi Sports Centre.

Cavani also topped the scoring charts in South American qualifying with 10, finishing three clear of Lionel Messi, Gabriel Jesus and Alexis Sanchez.

Barcelona ace Suarez added five goals himself during that campaign, so Tabarez will be delighted with the form of his key duo.

Looking at the Uruguay vs Uzbekistan odds, we reckon Evens for La Celeste to prevail by more than two clear goals against weaker opposition on home turf is a fair price.

A Look At Uzbekistan’s Betting Odds

Uzbekistan weren’t disgraced when fourth behind Iran, South Korea and Syria in their Asian World Cup qualifying group.

However, scoring goals was a problem for the White Wolves, with only six bagged in 10 games.

They also proved poor travellers after an early 1-0 win in Qatar, going on to lose their next four away fixtures.

Recent friendlies have followed a similar pattern, with a 1-1 draw against Senegal the only bright spot among losses to nil versus UAE, Morocco and Iran.

Timur Kapadze’s team don’t take many hidings, though, so 11/5 for them to be just 1-0 down at half-time is added to our Uruguay vs Uzbekistan betting predictions.

La Celeste can then hopefully kick on and open up a bit more in the second period.
