Kick-off: 2000, 01/11/2022

Stadium: Stade Velodrome

TV: BT Sport

Tottenham know a point against Marseille will see them qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.

Harry Kane thought he had fired Spurs into the knockout stage in their last outing against Sporting Lisbon, but his last-gasp goal to make it 2-1 was ruled out by VAR.

That meant Group D would go down to the wire and a draw at 5/2 is our first Marseille vs Tottenham prediction.

Marseille Odds

All four sides in the group have a chance of qualifying.

Tottenham are top of the standings, one point above Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt, with Marseille a point further back.

Sporting need a draw to reach the last 16 against Frankfurt, while Marseille know a win over Tottenham will see them join the Portuguese side in the hat.

Les Phoceens were beaten 2-1 by Frankfurt in their last European game, a third consecutive defeat in all competitions, before stopping the rot with a 2-2 draw at Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Marseille have lost three of their previous five home games, including their last two, and were beaten 2-0 by Spurs in their group opener in London.

But taking into account the importance of the game, a 1-1 draw is 23/4 in the Marseille vs Tottenham odds.

Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Antonio Conte was furious after VAR chalked off Kane’s late effort in the 1-1 draw with Frankfurt, meaning his side’s fate went to the final game.

Spurs ended a three-match winless run in style at the weekend, coming back from two goals down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 following substitute Rodrigo Bentancur’s late winner.

Kane said: “This (win) sets us up nicely for the week. Tuesday is going to be a really tough game, especially with only a couple of days’ rest in between.

“We have to be ready for it and there’s another big game on Sunday as well.

“Overall, it’s just important to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. It keeps us up there, in and around the top.

“It’s important for momentum and now we go to Marseille with a good feeling.”

Tottenham have looked unconvincing in recent weeks and conceding the first goal in their last four games has really affected their performances.

The hosts are 11/10 to score first in the Marseille vs Tottenham odds.
