Juventus go into Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final as underdogs but may just have an edge over Inter Milan in hunger and desire to lift this trophy.
The Bianconeri are the holders and fully focused on this contest, whereas their opponents still have the Serie A title as their top priority.
Punters can get 2.15 for the Old Lady to make it six cup wins in eight years and that is our first Juventus vs Inter Milan prediction.
Juventus Odds
Juventus have made relatively smooth progress in this season’s competition, securing four straight victories, with nine goals scored and only two conceded.
They beat Sampdoria 4-1 and Sassuolo 2-1 on home turf to reach the semis, before seeing off Fiorentina 1-0 away and then 2-0 in Turin.
Massimiliano Allegri has done a solid job of steadying the ship overall, even if fourth place in Serie A would be regarded as the bare minimum required.
There were some promising efforts in the Champions League until a disappointing exit at the hands of Villarreal.
Juve have also shown they can be competitive in head-to-head encounters with Inter, who they shaded in last year’s Coppa Italia semis.
This season, these teams drew 1-1 in Serie A in Milan and Inter needed a penalty to prevail 1-0 in Turin, while a Super Cup clash was only decided in the last minute of extra-time.
Those results do suggest, though, that this will be a tight tussle and 3.4 for a draw at the end of normal time takes the eye from the Juventus vs Inter Milan odds.
Inter Milan Odds
Inter are in the final for the first time since 2011 and almost fell at the first hurdle this year back in January.
The Nerazzurri trailed Empoli 2-1 until Andrea Ranocchia grabbed a last-gasp equaliser and Stefano Sensi then struck in extra-time.
To be fair, it is hard to fault a 2-0 home win over Roma and arch-rivals AC were beaten 3-0 in the second leg of the semis after a goalless stalemate first up.
However, we’re still concerned by Inter’s interest in the title race, with Simone Inzaghi’s team two points behind leaders AC with a couple of league games left to play.
The Nerazzurri had to work hard to recover from 2-0 down to beat Empoli 4-2 in that competition last time out and face a tricky trip to Cagliari this weekend.
Admittedly, Lautaro Martinez is one Inter player to watch out for, as he hit a double in the semis and has a good record versus Juve.
Let’s have a saver on him to break the deadlock at 5.0 in our Juventus vs Inter Milan betting tips.
