Kick Off: 1945, 05/06/2017

Stadium: Heysel Stadium

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez will have one eye on an upcoming World Cup clash with Estonia but should still have the strength in depth to see off the Czech Republic in Monday’s warm-up game.

The Red Devils have a squad packed full of established stars and even many of the understudies are now proven performers with major European clubs.

We’re kicking off our Belgium vs Czech Republic betting tips by taking 5/4 for the hosts to win by more than one goal.

A Look At Belgium’s Betting Odds

Belgium are going well in their World Cup qualifying group, even if they did drop points for the first time in five matches when held to a 1-1 draw by Greece in Brussels in March.

Prior to that, they had been scoring goals for fun, winning 3-0 in Cyprus, 4-0 at home to Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6-0 away to Gibraltar and 8-1 against Estonia.

Up front, they have an enviable arsenal of attacking weapons, even without the injured Eden Hazard, with Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke backed up by Michy Batshuayi, Dries Mertens, Kevin Mirallas and Divock Origi.

Add on the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Nacer Chadli and Marouane Fellaini coming through from midfield and 7/4 for the hosts to score three or more goals takes the eye from the Belgium vs Czech Republic odds.

A Look At Czech Republic’s Betting Odds

Czech Republic head coach Karel Jarolim may have more reasons to wrap some of his key players up in cotton wool ahead of their tricky World Cup trip to Norway.

A 2-1 home win over that country and a 6-0 romp away to San Marino have boosted qualification hopes, but this developing side is still in third place in Group C behind Germany and Northern Ireland.

Jarolim’s first-choice XI is solid, but far from spectacular, and there really isn’t much experience when you dig beneath some decent pros playing for mid-table teams in Germany, Italy and in lesser European leagues.

The Czech Republic failed to score in their first three World Cup qualifiers and Belgium are 19/2 to repeat Germany’s 3-0 victory over them.

Additional stats

Last result:

Russia 3-3 BELGIUM – Mirallas, Benteke (2)

San Marino 0-6 CZECH REPUBLIC – Barak (2), Darida (2), Gebre Selassie, Krmencik

Head-to-head: Belgium 0-1 Czech Republic, Czech Republic 1-1 Belgium, Belgium 1-0 Czech Republic, Czech Republic 0-1 Belgium, Belgium 0-2 Czech Republic, Czech Republic 3-1 Belgium.
