Tunisia are appearing at the World Cup for the sixth time but have never progressed beyond the group stage and that may prove the case again as they contemplate matches against defending champions France, in-form Denmark and Australia.
The Carthage Eagles have only won two matches at the World Cup, a 3-1 win against Mexico on their 1978 debut and a 2-1 comeback win against Panama in their final group game in Russia four years ago which ensured they finished third, three points behind England, who needed a stoppage-time winner from Harry Kane to beat the Tunisians in their opener.
Tunisia have yet to concede a goal in the six games Jalel Kadri has been in charge since the end of January and they won the Kirin Cup in June, beating Chile 2-0 to reach the final which they won 3-0 against Japan.
Looking at the Tunisia World Cup 2022 odds, they are the 3/1 underdogs to reach the round of 16 but they will have set their sights on picking up three points against the Aussies and keeping it tight against the European nations.
