Brazil and Belgium have both been great to watch at Russia 2018 but we just favour the Selecao in Friday’s World Cup quarter-final clash.
Each team is exciting when going forward, but the South Americans seem more composed at the back judged on what we have seen so far in this tournament.
Punters can get 11/10 for Tite’s side to prevail in normal time and that is our first Brazil vs Belgium prediction.
A Look At Brazil’s Betting Odds
After taking a little while to warm up, Brazil have simply got better and better in every match played.
They followed up a 2-0 defeat of Serbia by seeing off a dangerous Mexico outfit by the same scoreline, with few scares in either fixture.
The icing on the cake has been the return to peak form of Neymar following an injury lay-off, with the PSG ace scoring and setting up Roberto Firmino versus El Tri.
Neymar did come under scrutiny for perceived play-acting in the first knockout round, but he declared: “I am here to win and I hope I can improve.
“I knew that I was going to need some time to get back to my normal pace, but now I feel much better.”
The supporting cast have also risen to the occasion at this World Cup, with Willian particularly strong against Mexico and the rearguard looking confident and assured.
A Look At Belgium’s Betting Odds
Belgium showed tremendous spirit to recover from going 2-0 down when beating Japan 3-2 and Roberto Martinez will have been especially delighted with his substitutions.
Jan Vertonghen gave the Red Devils hope before Marouane Fellaini powerfully headed them level and then Nacer Chadli finished off a superb counter-attack in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Martinez said: “You have to find a reaction, but what you need more than anything is the desire and togetherness of a group of players who are desperate to perform.
“This is down to the personality, to the focus, to the never-give-up attitude of the players and the belief of the players when they came on.”
However, Belgium did show defensive frailties against the Samurai Blue, just as they had when beating Tunisia 5-2 during the group stage.
We’re adding 8/1 for the Selecao to prevail 2-1 to our Brazil vs Belgium betting tips.
