We are back with another over 2.5 goals treble for this Saturday’s matches and this week we will be looking to two of European football’s flagship fixtures and what could be a huge step towards a Bundesliga title in Germany. If the three games produce over 2.5 goals you will be set to win £117 from your free £25 bet.
Arsenal v Chelsea – Over 2.5 Goals @ 83/100
Arsenal have had a tremendous second half of the season and their goalscoring form has been kept up despite Robin Van Persie going slightly off the boil in recent weeks. He has only scored one goal in Arsenal’s last six matches but already has 27 league goals to his name this season. Despite that, eight of Arsenal’s last nine home games have produced over 2.5 goals and a 2-1 defeat to Wigan on Monday night shows how delicate their defence can be. Chelsea will have one eye on their Champions League semi-final against Bacelona and this will not only give Arsenal more of a chance of scoring, but could provide some of the Chelsea lads the chance to book a place in the starting line-up at Camp Nou. They have been in fine form themselves, scoring in their last six away matches and smashing five past Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley (well… four!). When you consider the reverse fixture finished 5-3 it is feasible to see this one going over 2.5 goals.
Borussia Dortmund v Borussia Monchengladbach – Over 2.5 @ 67/100
Dortmund are on the brink of winning the Bundesliga title and by the time this match kicks off they could need just four more points to win the league. If Bayern Munich win their early kick-off the incentive will be to go on and re-stretch their lead back to eight points so a dominant performance looks in store. The home side recently fought out a 4-4 draw with Stuttgart, the only blemish on their home record in their last eight matches and they have scored in their last 28 games at home with seven of their last nine going over 2.5 goals. Gladbach still need to secure their Champions League place for next season and have scored five in their last three away matches with all three games going over 2.5 goals. They will therefore come into this game without fear and could take the match to the home side. The last three times these two have met in Dortmund have produced over 2.5 goals, so bet on a repeat here.
Barcelona v Real Madrid – Over 2.5 Goals @ 53/100
There is no other place to finish this treble then at Camp Nou. This is most people’s idea of the best football match in Europe and these two sides rarely fail to deliver. The added twist on this game is that a win for Real Madrid would all but secure La Liga title, leaving them seven points clear with just 12 to play for. Conversely, a Barcelona victory gives them everything to play for going into the final four matches. Barcelona have seen ten of their last 11 home games go over 2.5 goals and have themselves scored two goals or more on all 11 occasions. Real Madrid have won 12 and drawn just once in their last 13 away matches, scoring 13 goals in their last four games including four at local rivals Atletico Madrid last weekend. The last five El Clasico’s have produced over 2.5 goals and few would bet against that outcome here.
