This Saturday gives us another chance to find three matches from across Europe that will produce over 2.5 goals to put in a winning treble bet.
Today’s picks see us rely on two of the most attacking teams in European football and a loose cannon in Blackburn Rovers, who usually guarantee goals.
So we look to Blackburn, Manchester City and Barcelona to produce the goods on home soil, and with a little help from the three away sides the winning treble would pay out at odds of 53/25.

Blackburn vs Aston Villa – Over 2.5 Goals at 83/100
Blackburn at home guarantees goals: sometimes for them, sometimes against them, and mostly a mixture of both. Six of their last seven home matches have produced over 2.5 goals and despite losing four of the last six at Ewood Park, they recently scored three against Fulham and three against QPR. Meanwhile, the last time Rovers kept a clean sheet at Ewood Park was 11 months ago.
Villa will be without Darren Bent and Richard Dunne for this one and that is a massive blow at both ends of the pitch. Their 0-0 draw at Wigan last time out was the first time in six games that over 2.5 goals hadn’t been scored in one of their encounters. Before that 0-0 draw Villa scored seven in three away games, and all this means over 2.5 goals is on the agenda once again at Ewood this afternoon.
Manchester City vs Bolton – Over 2.5 Goals at 3/10
Premier League leaders Manchester City host Bolton at ‘Fortress’ Etihad and their home record this season is perfect. They have won all 13 of their games there and 11 of those matches have seen over 2.5 goals. City themselves have scored exactly three goals in their last five home matches and there is every chance they will repeat that feat against struggling Bolton. Wanderers have recently conceded three against Chelsea and Manchester United on their travels so expect City to rack up that tally of goals themselves.
Barcelona vs Sporting Gijon – Over 2.5 Goals at 31/100
Barcelona are a formidable outfit at Camp Nou and all but one of their La Liga matches there this season have seen over 2.5 goals scored. In fact, of the 12 games they have played, Barcelona themselves have scored three or more. With Lionel Messi grabbing a stunning late winner at Atletico Madrid last time out they still have a sniff of the title and a 5-1 demolition of third-placed Valencia in their last home match illustrates just how dangerous they are at on their own patch. Sporting Gijon may also contribute to the goals tally – Barca have conceded four in their last three home matches and Sporting have scored in two of their last three on their travels, so they could get a consolation to help us along. The chances are, though, that it won’t be needed.
