Saturday’s Over 2.5 Goals Treble

For this week’s over 2.5 goals treble we are looking at a promotion-chasing Championship side and two German clubs sitting in the Champions League places to come up with the goals that will give readers a win at odds of 273/100. That means anyone using their free £25 bet from bwin would win just over £93 if the tips proved successful.

West Ham v Hull City – Over 2.5 Goals @ 3/4

West Ham need to win to stand any chance of pipping Southampton to the second automatic promotion place in the Championship and they will want to end a turbulent season on a high in front of their own fans. Their last three home matches have produced a massive six goals apiece, with the Hammers scoring all six without reply against Brighton last time out. The other two results were a 4-2 defeat and 3-3 draw and West Ham have only kept two clean sheets in their last ten home matches, meaning Hull have a good chance of getting in on the goalscoring act. With this in mind, over 2.5 looks a certainty in this one.

Schalke v Hertha Berlin – Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/2

Over to Germany for our second selection and Champions League-chasing Schalke, who need to win to hold on to third place going into the final round of fixtures. They have been strong at home all season but a recent loss to newly-confirmed champions Dortmund means they need to bounce back here. In their last 13 Bundesliga home games only two matches have produced under 2.5 goals and they average 2.68 goals per game on their own. Hertha have scored three goals in two of their last three away matches in the German top flight and they need to win here to stand any chance of avoiding relegation. Probably unlikely, but their need to score goals will certainly open up the game and hopefully see a real goalfest. Back over 2.5 goals to be scored.

Bayern Munich v Stuttgart – Over 2.5 Goals @ 21/50

Bayern Munich may be suffering from a Champions League hangover and the disappointment of finishing second to Borussia Dortmund so Stuttgart will fancy their chances at the Allianz Arena and may come out on top in a goalscoring thriller. Bayern failed to score in their last home match for the first time in nine games but during that run they scored more than once on all occasions. On average they have scored almost three goals per game at home this season while Stuttgart have scored in all of their previous ten away games and on more than one occasion in eight of those matches. The result of this match is hard to predict but goals look assured.
