Aston Villa v Manchester City @ 4/5
Aston Villa have no win in three games but their last four have produced over 2.5 goals and with Manchester City in town it is not unreasonable to suggest more goals are on the cards. Villa shared four goals with QPR in their last home game and Darren Bent and Robbie Keane could provide a goal or two on Sunday. Man City have a plethora of attacking talent and bounced back from defeat at Everton with an easy 3-0 win over Fulham. They have struggled slightly for goals away from home of late but Villa’s poor defensive record will ensure chances for City. All this adds up to a game with plenty of goals.
Inter Milan v Novara @ 3/5
Inter Milan’s last five home matches are the basis for this selection as all of them have produced over 2.5 goals. On their own, Inter have scored three or more three times in this sequence. In fact, they have scored 17 in their last five at home and conceded seven. Novara have a very poor away record in Serie A and have conceded ten in their last four on the road. But with Inter far from bullet-proof, Novara could help us along by getting a goal themselves. Either way, expect at least three from this encounter.
Real Madrid v Levante @ 13/50
We return to familiar territory for the final selection and this one is the surest bet of them all. Madrid have scored three goals or more in 11 of their last 12 home matches (the only one they didn’t was a 1-3 defeat to Barcelona) and as usual, they should get over 2.5 goals all by themselves. Levante are terrible away and leak goals at mid-table sides so the writing is on the wall for them here. In fact, any early Madrid goal could see the selection in by half time! For final confirmation, Real have scored 12 in their last three home games and Levante have conceded nine in their last three away.
