Over 2.5 goals in Bayern Munich vs Kaiserslautern @ 11/25
Bayern have dropped to second in the Bundesliga but they will be a lot happier back on home soil and their record at the Allianz Arena speaks for itself,. They have won 13 from their last 14 at home and scored three goals or more on all but three occasions. Mario Gomez has continued his amazing form this season and he may well get the three goals needed on his own. A quick look at the away side’s form shows no win in seven matches and they are third-bottom in the table, so they should be easy fodder for Bayern. On top of that, last time out on the road they shared a four-goal thriller with Augsburg.
Over 2.5 goals in Blackburn vs QPR @ 91/100
Blackburn are still in the depths of a relegation battle after suffering a 7-1 hiding at Arsenal last week and their recent home form is just as bad. However, they will have top scorer Yakubu back from suspension for this one, which substantially improves their attacking threat. All but three of Rovers’ home games this season have produced over 2.5 goals. QPR will be without erratic new signing Djibril Cisse but Bobby Zamora will be looking to exploit a weak Blackburn defence and this game looks sure to be a cracker,. It is also worth noting that QPR’s last away match was a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.
Over 2.5 goals in Tottenham vs Newcastle @ 13/20
Spurs were involved in a battling 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Monday night but their home form is much more exciting, as they have scored in all but one of their games at White Hart Lane in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Newcastle’s strike force of Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba showed last weekend what they are capable of, bagging a goal each in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa. The Magpies are not scared of attacking away from home and have scored in all but two of their games on the road this season. Spurs should win, but expect a flurry of goals at either end.
