After a somewhat relaxing international break for some, heart-breaking for others, club football returns to our screens this weekend.
Here, we look at three players in Europe who you should back this weekend to score at any time. Using the £25 free bet available to new customers to bwin in a treble with these three players could bring in a tidy £182.50 at odds of 63/10.
Robin van Persie to score against Norwich – 9/10
If you haven’t already noticed, RVP is on fire. 34 goals in 38 games in 2011, and currently the league’s top scorer with 11, Van Persie is on one hell of a hot-streak. Arsenal visit Norwich in the early Saturday kick-off, and the Canaries aren’t known for their defensive resilience, so odds of 9/10 look great for the Dutchman to add to his impressive tally this weekend.
Claudio Pizarro to score against Borussia Monchengladbach – 7/5
However poor his displays in a Chelsea shirt, Claudio Pizarro is a force in Germany. He is the top foreign scorer in German football history and has hit the back of the net 11 times this season. Bremen go against Gladbach this weekend, the team he scored past to become the top foreign goal-scorer, and he has six in three against the Bundesliga side. With that in mind, the 7/5 for the Peruvian to score this weekend almost looks like stealing.
Gonzalo Higuain to score against Valencia – 3/5
Higuain may always be in Ronaldo’s shadow, but he is an attacking force in his own right. 11 in 11 so far this season, Higuain regularly pops up with a goal for the galacticos. Some may doubt his chances against a good Valencia side, but he has scored six in three against the side, including a hat-trick last time around. Back him at 3/5 to grab a goal this weekend because it’s unlikely the Argentine will let you down.
