With only two games across the top British leagues this Sunday, Europe still offers plenty of top football action to finish off the weekend. Here are three teams that should earn victories on the continent.
At odds of 207/100, new customers joining bwin.com who bet on these three results would win £76.78 with their free £25 bet.
Barcelona to beat Real Betis @ 1/20
The world champions belong in almost any treble and with a home game this weekend they should brush off last Sunday’s disappointing draw with Catalan rivals Espanyol by defeating Real Betis.
Prior to their derby disappointment, their form had been great, winning eight in a row in all competitions and outscoring their opponents 37-1 over those eight games.
And given that the last match between these two at the Camp Nou was 5-0 to the home side, another dominating home win would be no surprise.
Malaga to beat Sporting Gijon @ 5/4
After three home losses in a row, Gijon look set to lose again as they host big spenders Malaga. To add to their misery at the second bottom position of La Liga, Gijon went out of the Copa del Rey on Tuesday night and their troubles should continue on Sunday.
Malaga beat Sporting twice last season and with a stronger squad this year, which now includes the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Santi Cazorla, they should see them off once more.
Though on a relatively poor run of late with two losses in four, the two reverses came against Real Madrid and they put on a good show in both legs of those Copa del Rey ties, despite losing 3-2 and 1-0.
Malaga would struggle to find an easier game to get them back on track, which they are expected to do.
Juventus to beat Cagliari @ 3/10
Juventus will go top of Serie A for at least a few hours if they see off the challenge of Cagliari and they should comfortably do so. They have won their last five in a row at home and are unbeaten all season.
Tenth-placed Cagliari have won just one game in four and should pose no problem to a strong Juventus side who have conceded just five times at home and boast the league’s second best defence.
Cagliari, on the other hand, have just three away wins all season – don’t expect that to change in Turin.
