This time last week, I successfully tipped Tottenham, Benfica and Real Madrid to win their respective matches in our Tuesday Banker Treble.
On this occasion, I’m looking past the Carling Cup semi-final between Crystal Palace and Cardiff and the handful of matches taking place in League One, League Two, the Copa del Rey and the Coppa Italia to bring you three non-league teams who look certain to pick up maximum points this evening.
Punters who use their free £25 bet for joining bwin.com on this trio could pocket £65.98 if they all oblige – not a bad way to start your football betting career with the world’s largest online game company.
Conference Premier: Luton Town v Stockport County (7.45pm)
Selection: Luton to win @ 3/10
Luton are in impressive form at present, having won their last five matches by an aggregate scoreline of 17-1. The Hatters have generally been solid at Kenilworth Road so far this term, winning eight of their 13 matches and scoring 31 goals – a total only surpassed by Grimsby Town and York City in the Conference Premier.
Gary Brabin’s men take on a Stockport side who are languishing in 19th place and have managed just four wins all season, with only basement boys Bath City tasting victory on fewer occasions. County have picked up just one win away from Edgeley Park – and that was only against Bath – and have shipped almost two goals per game on average on their travels.
Factor in a run of form which has seen Jim Gannon’s side lose their last seven away games in all competitions and it would be a major surprise if Luton fail to pick up all three points this evening.
Ryman Premier: Horsham v Wealdstone (7.45pm)
Selection: Wealdstone to win @ 9/20
As a general rule, I am loathe to include away teams in Banker Trebles. However, it is impossible to ignore the fact that Horsham, who sit bottom of the Ryman Premier, have a home record which reads played 12, won none, drawn one and lost 11. They have scored just ten goals in those matches and conceded 36, which means, incredibly, that teams visiting Gorings Mead have scored three goals apiece on average this season.
Those statistics alone make Wealdstone worthy of their place on your football betting coupon. But despite sitting in tenth place, their away performances also give reason for encouragement. They have lost just twice on the road all season, conceding just nine goals in 11 matches – a total bettered only by Hendon, who have let in a miserly seven. Their record of 21 goals against also means they statistically have the best defence in the division.
Wealdstone have not lost on their travels in all competitions since October and they romped to a 5-0 win at Wingate & Finchley in their previous venture away from St George’s Stadium on January 2nd.
Ryman Premier: AFC Hornchurch v Harrow Borough (7.45pm)
Selection: AFC Hornchurch to win @ 2/5
This is perhaps the most ‘shaky’ selection of the three, if second welcoming 18th in the Ryman Premier can be described as such. The slight doubt here revolves around the fact that Hornchurch have generally been better on the road than at home, with 33 of their 50 points thus far coming in away matches.
Still, Hornchurch have let in a divisional best of just nine goals in their 11 home matches, a record they share with leaders Lowestoft, Met Police and Bury Town. A hugely impressive 3-0 triumph over Lowestoft in their last fixture at Hornchurch Stadium shows what they are capable of in front of their own fans and they also have the incentive of going top if they triumph tonight.
Harrow, for their part, have the worst goalscoring record on their travels of any team in the Ryman Premier with just ten goals to their name, suggesting they will struggle to break down a stubborn Hornchurch rearguard.
Boro have lost their last four away matches in all competitions without even scoring (aggregate scoreline of 0-9) and considering one of those was a 1-0 reverse at Hornchurch in the FA Trophy, I am feeling quietly confident about a repeat here.
