Wednesday evening may not offer up too many games for football betting fans to get their teeth into, but there is still enough for punters to give their accounts a timely midweek boost by backing a banker treble.
With action coming from the Champions League, SPL and FA Cup, I’ve plucked out three teams that will surely emerge victorious under the floodlights. New customers to bwin.com can win £70.15 if they are successful with their free £25 bet on this threesome.
Valencia to beat Racing Genk @ 4/25
Valencia come into this game having suffered defeat at the hands of an in-form Real Madrid at the weekend, but bet on them getting back to winning ways against the Belgian champions. Los Che have been impressive at the Mestalla in the Champions League so far, with victory over Bayer Leverkusen and a well-earned draw with Chelsea. Couple this with the fact that Genk have conceded seven goals in their two European away games and all evidence points towards a comfortable win for Unai Emery’s men.
Celtic to beat Dunfermline Athletic @ 9/50
The odds are stacked firmly in favour of Celtic for this Scottish Premier League clash and for good reason – they sit second in the table, while opponents Dunfermline are only one point above the single relegation spot. Neil Lennon’s team haven’t enjoyed their finest start to the season, but their recent run of eight games unbeaten in all competitions suggests they are finding their feet. Athletic have the second worst defensive record in the SPL and with Celtic striking duo Anthony Stokes and Gary Hooper in excellent form it is unlikely that they will be able to resist their more illustrious hosts.
Dagenham and Redbridge to beat Bath City @ 21/20
Conference National side Bath may have pulled off the impressive feat of drawing with their Football League opponents 11 days ago, but the Daggers will expect to progress to round two of the FA Cup on the road in this replay. Both sides will be desperate for some cup success having suffered from atrocious league form this season. Bath have only won once and are 11 points adrift of safety, while Dagenham have picked up just one win in their last 14 League Two fixtures. With equally poor records, this perhaps may not be the most assured of ‘bankers’ you have ever seen, but the superior quality and experience of John Still’s Daggers should shine through in the end.
