Every football betting fan loves an accumulator and we here at news.bwin.com/en/ are certainly no different.
So with domestic cup issues temporarily put to bed, we decided to comprehensively scour Saturday’s fixtures across England’s top four divisions and beyond in a bid to highlight five teams who could deliver a wallet-busting 10/1 success.
The results are outlined below and punters who place the free £25 bet they receive for joining bwin.com on our five-timer could bag returns of £288.61.
Derby to beat Coventry @ 9/10
Derby are the form side in the Championship with five wins in their last six (four at home) and they can see off the Sky Blues at very attractive odds. Coventry are at the opposite end of the form table, losing four of the last six and they are the only team in the Football League without an away win all season.
Cheltenham to beat Aldershot @ 3/4
Cheltenham return to League Two action following their FA Cup defeat by Spurs at White Hart Lane last weekend and face an Aldershot side who have lost all four of their recent away matches. The Cherries have not conceded a goal in their last four home matches, winning three, and I expect another home victory here.
Tottenham to beat Wolves @ 7/25
The Spurs bandwagon shows no sign of stopping and a dominant performance over Everton in the week has once again seen their odds cut for the Premier League title. The visit of Wolves is the kind of game Spurs would have struggled in last season, but not now. Gareth Bale, Rafael Van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor are a formidable trio and another convincing home win is in the offing against a Wolves side without a win in seven matches.
Huddersfield to beat Oldham @ 11/20
Two words comprising one player are probably enough to justify this selection: Jordan Rhodes. His stunning five-goal show at Wycombe last week took his tally of goals to 24 in 17 starts this season and although Huddersfield showed signs of a stutter before their 6-0 win at Adams Park, there is no reason to believe they cannot reproduce that form back on home soil. Oldham are without a win in eight on the road so expect Rhodes to carry Huddersfield to another three points.
Sevilla to beat Espanyol @ 3/4
Over to Spain now and our acca is completed by a home win in the clash between Sevilla and Espanyol. The Andalucians are good at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and poor away, while Espanyol struggle on their travels. The Seville outfit have won three of their last four at home (a 6-2 defeat by Real Madrid can be excused, and Sevilla didn’t actually play badly in that one despite the scoreline). Their Copa del Rey win over Valencia in midweek – albeit in an eventual defeat on away goals – will have built their confidence after the winter break. Espanyol have only won one of their last six away matches and have scored just five goals in that time, so expect a home win here.
