English Europa League interest may be non-existent, but that’s no reason not to make a load of money on tonight’s quarter-final clashes, is it?
Bwinbetting have identified the outcome of each first-leg encounter and if our predictions prove accurate, those who get on board with the fourfold can get paid out at 28/1.
Success is forecast for Juventus, Benfica and Basel, while Sevilla will battle to a share of the spoils at Porto and we’ve got the reasoning as to why it’s happening right here:
Juventus to beat Lyon @ 3/5
Les Gones’ mid-season resurgence has hit a snag that’s resulted in them losing three of their last four games, two of which took place at the Stade Gerland.
Prior to the Old Lady’s 2-0 loss at Napoli, they had won five straight games without conceding a goal and look good to inflict more misery on Remi Garde’s side.
Benfica to beat AZ @ 13/20
Tottenham’s vanquishers have the smoothest route into the semi-finals and will all-but cement it with victory in Alkmaar.
The Eagles look a fantastic price to win the tournament outright at 3/1 and, having shipped just six goals in 15 outings in 2014, they must be backed to best a shot-shy Dutch club that’s failed to register in two of their last three.
Porto and Sevilla to draw @ 12/5
Los Rojiblancos have suffered just one Europa League loss all season and have warmed up for this jaunt across the Portuguese border with eight wins in ten.
By contrast, patchy Porto have failed to prevail in seven across the same number of matches and have drawn three of four in this competition so far.
Basel to beat Valencia @ 23/10
Price of the round has to be for the Swiss side to overpower a Valencia side that’s won just one domestic road game since early November.
They may have triumphed on every Europa League sojourn this term, but the likes of Swansea, Ludogorets, Dynamo Kiev, St Gallen and Kuban aren’t of the same ilk as Murat Yakin’s Rotblau setup that’s beat Chelsea at St Jakob-Park already and lost just two on the homestead all season.
