Football accumulator tips: Five predictions for Tuesday
We’re turning to the Scottish League Cup again for our football accumulator tips on Tuesday night and have five predictions that could give us a pay-out of just under 9/2.
Don’t fret if one of the legs lets you down because our five-team acca insurance ensures we refund minimum £5 stakes as a Free Bet up to £25 when a five-fold is placed on the same day and a single selection goes astray.
Ayr United to beat Clyde @ 21/50
The Honest Men reached the knockout stage of this competition last season and are on course to repeat that feat after opening with two wins in Group E. Clyde are also on six points but have played one game more and their victories came at home to basement dwellers Dumbarton and Annan, whereas Ayr have already seen off fellow high-flyers Kilmarnock.
Hibernian to beat Arbroath @ 1/4
Hibs will be competing two divisions above Arbroath this term after taking the Scottish Championship title last season and should be a class apart here. Although beaten on penalties at Ross County last Friday, the Edinburgh outfit had previously thrashed Montrose 4-0 at Easter Road and will be looking for another convincing triumph there.
Falkirk to beat Forfar @ 2/5
The Bairns won both home games in this tournament last season and have started out well this term, beating Stirling 4-1 at this venue and then prevailing 2-0 at Inverness. Forfar went down on penalties at Brechin and then lost 3-1 at home to Stirling, so the formbook clearly favours Falkirk.
Hamilton to win at Albion @ 53/100
The Accies topped their pool last season and are going along nicely again this time around after securing a 3-1 success at East Kilbride and then edging out Queen of the South on penalties. Manager Martin Canning is keen to improve his team’s sharpness ahead of the new campaign and will hope to prove a cut above Albion.
Partick to win at Airdrie @ 2/5
Thistle progressed from their pool with four straight wins last season and appear keen to give it a go in this competition once more. After going down on spot-kicks at Livingston, the Jags bounced back to crush St Mirren 5-0, despite having Abdul Osman dismissed before the hour mark.
