The countdown to Super Bowl LII continues with the AFC and NFC Conference Championship games and we’ve got handicap picks for both matches in our latest NFL betting tips.

Last week’s divisional round produced plenty of thrills and spills and we’re expecting two more exciting contests on Sunday, with a near-5/2 double on the spread our target.

New England -7.5 points vs Jacksonville @ 91/100

Tom Brady’s injury scare has caused a stir this week but the 40-year-old should be able to cope with missing a couple of days of practice at this stage of his stellar career.

The Patriots’ top-ranked offence simply dismantled Tennessee in last weekend’s 35-14 victory and decent weather conditions in Boston should favour New England again here.

Jacksonville made the play-offs on the back of a mean defence but had to rely on some unexpected magic from Blake Bortles to win a 45-42 shoot-out in Pittsburgh.

We don’t think Bortles can put two such performances together and the Jaguars look in above their heads against a team which has won five of six AFC Championship games played at Gillette Stadium with Brady at quarterback.

Philadelphia +3.5 points vs Minnesota @ 3/4

This promises to be a war of attrition between two of the most aggressive and physical defences in the NFL and points should be at a premium at Lincoln Financial Field.

Both teams have been particularly strong at stopping the run, so that will put pressure on a couple of back-up quarterbacks.

Eagles QB Nick Foles has his limitations, but the feeling is that he is a safer bet than the more erratic Case Keenum, who got out of jail with a miracle last play as the Vikings beat the Saints 29-24.

Minnesota earlier blew a 17-0 lead against New Orleans and their temperament will be tested on the road, with Philadelphia coming off a rock-solid 15-10 defeat of Atlanta at this venue.
