Week 11 of the Premier League takes place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday night and Michael van Gerwen is fancied to edge out Peter Wright in arguably the match of the night.
Van Gerwen opened up a two-point lead at the top of the table in Dublin last week, after Wright could only draw against Dave Chisnall, while Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis and Phil Taylor all boosted their play-off hopes with victories.
We have studied the form and produced our five Premier League Darts Week 11 betting tips. If you’re feeling lucky, stick them all in an accumulator and a £1 bet will return over £1800 if they all come in.
Gary Anderson to beat Dave Chisnall, complete highest checkout and hit most 180s @ 3/1
Inconsistency has hampered Anderson’s campaign, highlighted when losing to Lewis seven days after beating him, but he is capable of bouncing back like he did following his convincing defeat to Van Barneveld a few weeks ago. Although Chisnall was brilliant versus Wright, hitting seven 180s with a 75 per cent checkout percentage, he lost the last three legs to settle for a draw which could deflate him.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Peter Wright 7-5 @ 7/1
Van Gerwen looked back to his best last week, responding from a 4-2 deficit to beat Wade in a thriller, and is expected to get the better of Wright. But ‘Snakebite’ will take heart from his fightback in Ireland and, having seen off Van Gerwen in the German Darts Championship final last month, has the belief he can beat the Dutchman, meaning a close-fought encounter is likely.
Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld to draw @ 333/100
Both players bounced back from defeats with impressive performances in Dublin and look in fine form heading into the business end, so a close game is expected.
James Wade to score more 180s than Phil Taylor @ 187/100
Wade was brilliant in defeat to Van Gerwen last week but could not reproduce the goods in his second match of the night against Van Barneveld, who had earlier lost to Taylor. This game could go to the wire and, with Taylor often opting for 19s, Wade is a decent price to win the 180s battle.
Peter Wright and Gary Anderson to draw @ 7/2
The two Scots return to the oche in the final match of the night. Wright has won only two of his six Premier League meetings with Anderson, both by a 7-5 scoreline, but has often given him a game so a draw could also be a good option here.
