Boxing Heavyweight Legends odds: Ali and Tyson to win semis

Fight fans have been gaining some relief from the coronavirus chaos via a unique video game tournament and we’ve got the best Boxing Heavyweight Legends odds.

Using the EA Sports Fight Night Champion model, eight iconic names of ring history were selected to do battle in a knockout event.

The action is being streamed live on the WBSS Facebook page, with a different bout taking place at 5pm each evening.

German promoter Kalle Sauerland said: “In these testing and uncertain times, we hope we can provide a much-needed distraction for fight fans around the world. Stay safe and stay out of trouble!”

After four thrilling quarter-finals, we’ve got Boxing Heavyweight Legends betting tips and predictions for two mouth-watering semis:

MUHAMMAD ALI 333/100

Ali and Frazier faced each other three times in the 1970s and if past evidence is anything to go by, this will be a cracking contest.

Smokin Joe won the first bout by unanimous decision, before Ali prevailed on points in the rematch and then took the Thrilla in Manila rubber match.

Ali kicked off this tournament by claiming a fifth-round triumph over game warrior Evander Holyfield, while Frazier got up off the floor to stop Lennox Lewis in seven.

This bout is expected to ebb and flow both ways, with each fighter having spells on top, but Ali’s superior speed and skill may just see him shade it again.

MIKE TYSON 7/2

Iron Mike didn’t waste too much time or energy in brushing aside rank outsider Butterbean, who was predictably out of his depth at this level.

A young Tyson threw a brutal left-right combination early in round two to settle the issue and he should still be fresh as a daisy for his next contest.

Foreman was given a much tougher test by David Haye in the last quarter-final, being sent crashing to the canvas by a huge right early on.

However, Big George tightened up his defence and wore down the Hayemaker before storming to a fifth-round knockout.

This was an ageing Foreman, though, and it will be a surprise if he can cope with the ferocious attacks of Tyson at his peak.

VERDICT: Odds of 2/5 for an Ali-Tyson double are on the short side, but everything seems set up for the two tops seeds to qualify for a sensational decider.
