Spain vs France: Les Bleus backed for final joy

Kick-off: 1945, 10/10/2021

Stadium: San Siro

TV: Sky Sports

After two thrilling semi-finals, Spain and France will do battle in the second Nations League decider at the San Siro in Milan.

Les Bleus eventually found a way to overcome Belgium’s high-pressing tactics and that should be good practice for now facing La Roja.

We reckon Didier Deschamps is in charge of the better team and 29/20 for them to prevail in normal time is our first Spain vs France prediction.

A Look At Spain’s Betting Odds

Obviously, Spain have to be respected after seeing off hosts Italy 2-1, ending the Euro 2020 champions’ world-record 37-match unbeaten run.

Manchester City forward Ferran Torres produced a couple of clinical first-half finishes, both set up by Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad.

Despite having captain Leonardo Bonucci sent off in between those strikes, the Azzurri rallied after the break but could only manage an 83rd-minute consolation through Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Torres was delighted to gain some revenge for a Euro 2020 semi-final exit suffered at the hands of their hosts.

He told Marca: “We knew it was a special match, we fell in the semi-finals of the European Championship and what better way to beat them at home in another semi-final.

“I am happy for the team. I believe that perseverance and training make the results arrive.”

La Roja do have the style of play to start brightly again, as they love to press hard and dominate possession in the early exchanges.

Looking at the 27/4 for any team to come from behind and win.

A Look At France’s Betting Odds

France seemed down and out after conceding goals from Yannick Carrasco and Romelu Lukaku towards the end of a lacklustre first-half display.

However, Karim Benzema sparked them into life with a neat 62nd-minute score and a Kylian Mbappe penalty soon after set up a grandstand finish.

Theo Hernandez delivered the dramatic decider in stoppage time and that 3-2 victory gave us a trio of successful selections in our match preview.

“We were unhappy in the first half,” Deschamps told TF1. “Our system is new, we need time to work on it, and the opponent was good.

“Winning this match in that way proves the strength of character of this team. They are there and they do not want to let go.

“We are here to play the final and there will be a trophy at stake. We’ll do everything we can in order to lift it.”

This has all the makings of another cracking contest and we’re finishing off our Spain vs France betting tips by taking 35/4 for Les Bleus to oblige 2-1.
