Kick-off: 2000, 28/11/2019

Stadium: Celtic Park

TV: BT Sport

Celtic have been superb in Europa League Group E and can wrap up top spot by beating basement dwellers Rennes at Parkhead.

These teams drew 1-1 in France on Matchday 1, but the Hoops have since claimed three straight wins, while Les Rouge et Noir have suffered a trio of defeats.

Neil Lennon isn’t the type to rest on his laurels, so 27/20 for his side to lead at half-time and full-time is our first Celtic vs Rennes prediction.

A Look At Celtic’s Betting Odds

Ryan Christie’s second-half penalty earned Celtic a draw at Roazhon Park in mid-September, after M’Baye Niang had fired the hosts in front from the spot in the first period.

There was little between the two teams in a lively encounter, but it remains to be seen whether Rennes will be as effective without a strong home crowd cheering them on.

Celtic then enjoyed a smooth 2-0 success against old rivals CFR Cluj at this venue to put them in good spirits for a double-header versus Lazio.

Both of those matches proved memorable nights, as Lennon’s men came from behind to snatch a couple of 2-1 triumphs via dramatic late deciders on each occasion.

“This team just keeps setting new boundaries,” said Lennon after the victory in Rome. “I’m so proud of them, not just for winning the game, but the way they played – the character, the bravery and, above all else, real quality.”

There is always a chance of a dip in intensity now that the Hoops are through, but we still like 29/4 for a 2-0 home win from the Celtic vs Rennes odds.

A Look At Rennes’ Betting Odds

Rennes showed enough in the first clash with Celtic to suggest they could be competitive in this pool but have gone steadily downhill since then.

There was no disgrace in a 2-1 defeat at Lazio, where they led after 55 minutes through Jeremy Morel’s opener but couldn’t hang on.

Les Rouge et Noir also had excuses for a 1-0 home loss to Cluj, with Edouard Mendy sent off after just five minutes and then Eduardo Camavinga seeing red straight after the break.

However, going down by the same scoreline in Romania to an 87th-minute sickener will surely have knocked the stuffing out of Julien Stephan’s side.

Rennes qualified for this competition by beating PSG on penalties in the French Cup final, but only finished 10th in Ligue 1 and are again a mid-table team this term.

Reaching the knockout rounds is no longer a possibility, so Stephan is expected to be more focused on improving that domestic position at this stage.

Let’s finish off our Celtic vs Rennes betting tips by taking 33/20 for a home win to nil.
