Kick Off: 0030, 11/10/2017

Stadium: Estadio Nacional

Peru haven’t qualified for the Word Cup finals since 1980 but are fancied to give themselves a great chance of ending that drought by beating Colombia in Lima.

These teams go into the last round of South American qualifiers in fifth and fourth place respectively, with the top four assured of a trip to Russia 2018 and fifth facing New Zealand in a play-off.

Games featuring Ecuador vs Argentina and Brazil vs Chile will have a bearing on how things play out in an incredibly tight section.

However, the red and whites are tipped to do their bit by winning at 7/5 in our Peru vs Colombia betting predictions.

A Look At Peru’s Betting Odds

There are no superstars in the Peru team, but former Bayern Munich striker Paolo Guerrero and Lokomotiv Moscow forward Jefferson Farfan are two proven performers with plenty of experience up front.

At the other end of the age scale, Denmark-based winger Edison Flores and Feyenoord’s Renato Tapia look two fine prospects and provide plenty of athleticism and energy.

A strong worth ethic and team spirit have helped Peru to recover from a shaky start which saw them win just one of their first six qualifiers.

Six more victories have followed in 11 subsequent games, with the only defeats being a home loss to Brazil and a late 2-1 reversal in Chile.

Uruguay were beaten 2-1 in Lima back in March and 17/2 for a repeat of that scoreline is included in our Peru vs Colombia betting tips.

A Look At Colombia’s Betting Odds

Most pundits would agree that Colombia have the edge in class on paper, with Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez headlining a squad full of players plying their trade with strong European clubs.

However, the coffee growers have been inconsistent during this campaign and could be shell-shocked following last week’s 2-1 home loss to Paraguay.

Falcao put Colombia in front after 79 minutes in Barranquilla, but Paraguay levelled in the final minute and then snatched victory in stoppage time.

The visitors have the firepower to cause problems going forward but will be put under more pressure at the back in this fiery atmosphere.

Looking at the Peru vs Colombia odds, we like 15/4 for a home win and both teams to score.
