Kick-off: 1945, 04/03/2020

Stadium: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

TV: BBC Red Button/iPlayer

Tottenham’s quest for their first FA Cup success since 1991 continues with a fifth-round visit from Premier League rivals Norwich.

Jose Mourinho’s side head into the game on the back of three successive defeats while the Canaries secured a much-needed 1-0 win over Leicester on Friday.

Punters can get 33/20 for a home win and both teams to score – as was the case in the Premier League here in January – and that is our opening Tottenham vs Norwich prediction.

A Look At Tottenham Hotspur’s Betting Odds

Tottenham’s top-four hopes suffered a setback when they went down 3-2 to Wolves at this venue on Sunday.

Steven Bergwijn and Serge Aurier twice put Spurs in front but they were pegged back by goals from Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota before Raul Jimenez struck a late winner.

Mourinho said: “We don’t have that aggression, that ruthlessness. We are too good, we are too nice and that was the only thing that made a difference in the game, because tactically I think the team was really good.

“I cannot complain to the players about the spirit, about their fighting, I can complain about some psychological characteristics that is not easy to change, but I have nothing to complain with the players at all, I think the result is very unfair.”

Tottenham have failed to reach the final since beating Nottingham Forest 29 years ago but have made the quarter-finals on 11 occasions.

They have appeared in the last four twice in the previous three years while Mourinho will be looking to secure a second FA Cup success having led Chelsea to the trophy in 2007.

Norwich have only scored one first-half goal in their 14 away Premier League games this season and Tottenham beat them 2-1 in January having led at half-time.

We like 5/4 for the home side to again lead at half-time and full-time when looking at the Tottenham vs Norwich betting odds.

Last Tottenham line-up: Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Aurier, Winks, Lo Celso, Davies, Bergwijn, Moura, Alli.

A Look At Norwich City’s Betting Odds

Norwich will head to north London in good spirits after giving their Premier League survival hopes a boost by beating Leicester at Carrow Road.

Jamal Lewis lashed in a superb left-footed winner in the second half but Saturday’s results did not go in their favour and they are six points adrift of Watford in 17th.

Boss Daniel Farke said: “The lads were brilliant. We are playing here in the best league in the world against one of the top sides in the league so it says a lot about the quality of Leicester, but then to be there with such a spirited and committed performance with a deserved win and clean sheet.

“It’s amazing and we just have so many compliments for the lads.”

Norwich are hitting the road for the third successive round having beaten Preston 4-1 – courtesy of an Adam Idah hat-trick – and then Premier League rivals Burnley 2-1 but they have only won once on their travels in the top flight this term.

They last reached this stage in 2012, losing 2-1 at home to Leicester, and their previous quarter-final appearance came in 1991 when they went down 1-0 to beaten finalists Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road.

Both meetings this season have seen at least three goals so we will complete our Tottenham vs Norwich predictions by backing that to happen again alongside a home win at 19/20.

Last Norwich line-up: Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Godfrey, Lewis, Tettey, McLean, Buendia, Duda, Cantwell, Pukki.

Additional stats

Last result:

NORWICH 1-0 Leicester – Jamal Lewis

TOTTENHAM 2-3 Wolves – Steven Bergwijn, Serge Aurier

Head-to-head: Tottenham 2-1 Norwich, Norwich 2-2 Tottenham, Norwich 0-3 Tottenham, Tottenham 3-0 Norwich
