Celtic are enduring a miserable season and will crash out of the Europa League regardless of how they get on in their final match in Group H.

The Hoops have only picked up one point from their first five matches and have nothing but pride to play for here, although Neil Lennon will be desperate for a win to ease his job worries.

Lille, on the other hand, will win the group with a victory in Glasgow and an away win at 6/5 is an easy pick for our first Celtic vs Lille prediction.

A Look At Celtic’s Betting Odds

Lennon has been told his job is safe for the rest of the year after receiving his second public vote of confidence inside a week on Monday.

Time must be running out for the manager though, with disgruntlement among the fans further intensifying after Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw by St Johnstone on Sunday.

That left them 13 points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers with two games in hand, while their form in the Europa League has been just as poor.

The Hoops have not won in five matches in all competitions and have only recorded two victories in 12 games, conceding 28 goals in the process.

Lennon said: “There is definitely a lack of confidence there, a lack of confidence in themselves as individuals and each other. We need to get that back because they can play, they proved that last season.

“But this season it’s been a struggle for them. Whether it’s a lack of attitude or desire…. there’s bits and pieces that I see now and again that I can’t really change overnight, but I want to.

“As far as the season goes we are making it very, very difficult for ourselves to get back into it.”

Celtic have scored in all five of their group games but have blown a two-goal lead in two matches and failed to make the most of scoring first in three of the last four.

Backing either team to come from behind and secure victory looks a worthy pick at 5/1 in the Celtic vs Lille odds.

A Look At Lille’s Betting Odds

Lille have had no such problems in the Europa League and are already assured of a place in the knockout stage.

They head into the final round of matches with a one-point advantage over AC Milan so a win here will ensure they avoid the teams dropping out of the Champions League in the next round.

Celtic’s only point so far came in the reverse fixture in France in October when Lille battled back to rescue a 2-2 draw.

Mohamed Elyounossi scored twice for Celtic in a four-minute spell in the first half and Hoops keeper Scott Bain saved a Jonathan David penalty five minutes before the break.

Lille dominated in the second half though and defender Zeki Celik pulled a goal back in the 67th minute before Jonathan Ikone netted a deserved equaliser eight minutes later.

Their fine form in the Europa League, which has seen them take four points off Milan and do the double over Sparta Prague, has continued in Ligue 1 where they are just two points behind leaders PSG.

They have gone four games without a clean sheet in all competitions though and there have been goals at both ends in nine of their last 11 matches.

With that in mind, let’s take 13/5 for an away win and both teams to score as our last Celtic vs Lille prediction.

Additional stats

CELTIC 1-1 St Johnstone – Mohamed Elyounoussi

LILLE 2-1 Monaco – Jonathan David, Yusuf Yazici
