Juve’s 5-0 demolition of Fiorentina last weekend ended a run of four consecutive draws, a sequence of results which could yet prove to be crucial in deciding the destination of this season’s Scudetto.
Meanwhile, their midweek aggregate victory over AC Milan saw the Bianconeri advance to the final of the Coppa Italia and they will be looking to complete a successful seven days with a victory over Inter this evening.
Antonio Conte’s side are priced at 3/5 to record their ninth home win of the season, while a demoralized Inter are available at 22/5 to inflict Juve’s first league defeat of the current campaign.
It is hard to overstate just how disappointing a season Inter are having, with their European exit at the hands of Marseille being the latest in a series of calamitous results
Though the Turin giants remain unbeaten in Serie A, there is a real possibility of them emulating the famous Perugia side of 1977-78 who managed to go unbeaten the entire season yet could only finish as runners up.
Juve have drawn far too many matches this season – exactly half of their 28 games played – so despite Inter being on a catastrophic run of form which has seen them claim one win in nine league games, the draw may well appeal to some at the price of 57/20.
Yet it is hard to overstate just how disappointing a season Inter are having, with their Champions League exit at the hands of Marseille being the latest in a series of calamitous results. This year they have been woeful away from home, managing just two goals in their last six games away from San Siro. Juve have been fairly solid defensively with back to back clean sheets, and the price of 21/20 for Inter not to score looks fairly generous.
Juve have an excellent record against the bigger sides this season and have beaten every team currently above Inter as well as the Nerrazzuri themselves 2-1 back in October. They should be too strong for them once again and odds of 7/5 for Juventus to be winning at half time and full time look too big to turn down.
Recommended bet: Juventus to be winning at half time and full time @7/5
