Saturday, 5th November
Kilmarnock v Inverness (3.00pm)
Home win: 21/20 Draw: 23/10 Away win: 12/5
Key stat: Kilmarnock have kept clean sheets in their last three games, while Inverness have failed to score in six of their 13 matches this season.
Betting tip: A bet on a Kilmarnock clean sheet at 37/20 should be a smart bet. Similarly, it might be worth a look at a bet on Kilmarnock to win to nil, priced at 13/5.
Rangers v Dundee Utd (3.00pm)
Home win: 23/100 Draw: 9/2 Away win: 21/2
Key stat: Dundee United haven’t scored against Rangers in their last three matches against them.
Betting tip: With SPL top-goalscorer Steven Naismith out for the season, expect his teammates to be auditioning for the chance to fill his shoes. Therefore a big win seems probable and, given United’s recent goal drought against the Gers, a multiple correct score bet on a home 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 win at 13/10 or on a home 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0 win, priced at 11/2, seem wise picks.
Hibernian v Dunfermline (3.00pm)
Home win: 18/25 Draw: 27/10 Away win: 17/5
Key stat: Dunfermline have gone nine games without a win, a run where they have conceded four goals four times.
Betting tip: It would be no surprise if the home side grab a few goals on Saturday given the defensive form of the visitors. Some high scoring correct score bets are therefore worth a look, such as 4-0 to Hibs at 25/1, or 4-1 at 22/1.
Saint Mirren v Hearts (3.00pm)
Home win: 2/1 Draw: 2/1 Away win: 7/5
Key stat: St Mirren have just two home SPL wins and Hearts have just one away league win.
Betting tip: St Mirren’s poor home form and Heart’s terrible away record make this an interesting matchup. A draw seems the most likely result and these two have had four 1-1 ties since St Mirren’s return to the top flight five years ago. Another 1-1 result is available at odds of 19/4.
Sunday, November 6
Motherwell v Celtic (12 noon)
Home win: 21/4 Draw: 29/10 Away win: 1/2
Key stat: Second-placed Motherwell have just three goals from their last five home matches.
Betting tip: Celtic’s midweek Europa League win should have restored some confidence for the struggling Glasgow giant and the fact that they have won eight of their last nine encounters with Motherwell suggest they will close the gap on the side that surprisingly lead them in the table. Throw into the mix the above statistic showing Motherwell’s poor home goalscoring form and a punt on Celtic to win to nil at 29/20 could prove great value.
Monday, 7th November
St Johnstone v Aberdeen (7.45pm)
Home win: 27/20 Draw: 21/10 Away win: 2/1
Key stat: In all but three of St Johnstone’s fifteen matches this season at least one side has kept a clean sheet.
Betting tip: When they win, they’re so good that they win without conceding, but when they lose, they struggle to even find a consolation goal. That has been the tale for the majority of St Johnstone’s up-and-down season. Backing a clean sheet in their game on Monday Night Football could then prove a great choice, whether for Aberdeen to keep a clean sheet at 11/5 or for the hosts themselves to keep one at odds of 33/20.
