Saturday, April 21st
St Johnstone v Dundee United (12.30pm)
Home win: 19/1 Draw: 9/4 Away win: 27/20
Key stat: Both matches between these two at McDiarmid Park this season were six goal thrillers: a 3-3 draw and a 5-1 United demolition.
Betting tip: As these two meet at McDiarmid Park once more, it may be worth betting on plenty of goals in this one. For there to be over 3.5 goals the odds are 21/10, while the odds are 9/2 for five or more goals to be scored.
Hearts v Rangers (3.00pm)
Home win: 21/10 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 5/4
Key stat: Hearts haven’t drawn a match in their last six, while Rangers haven’t drawn in ten matches.
Betting tip: It looks very much like we will see a winner in this one, making a Double Chance bet on either a Hearts or Rangers win, at 13/50, an attractive option as a banker bet.
Inverness v Aberdeen (3.00pm)
Home win: 27/20 Draw: 21/10 Away win: 2/1
Key stat: Inverness beat Aberdeen 1-0 just four weeks ago.
Betting tip: With Aberdeen losing four out of their last five, Inverness will fancy their chances. And the odds on another tight 1-0 win for Thistle are 25/4.
St Mirren v Dunfermline (3.00pm)
Home win: 13/20 Draw: 5/2 Away win: 17/4
Key stat: St Mirren, the team with the most drawn matches in this season’s league, can secure their SPL place for next season with another point against the league’s bottom side.
Betting tip: A draw, at 5/2, looks a wise bet considering the Saints have shared the spoils 14 times already this season. And two of those draws came against Dunfermline: a 1-1 draw, which has odds of 11/2 this Saturday, and a goalless encounter on the opening weekend, which is priced at 27/4 this weekend.
Sunday, April 22nd
Motherwell v Celtic (2.00pm)
Home win: 4/1 Draw: 13/5 Away win: 13/20
Key stat: Celtic have won their last five encounters with the Well, and four of those were without conceding.
Betting tip: The odds on newly-crowned champions Celtic to win to nil again against Motherwell are 33/20 and probably worth considering, especially after recent 4-0 and 6-0 away wins.
Hibernian v Kilmarnock (3.00pm)
Home win: 13/10 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 2/1
Key stat: This will be the third meeting between these sides at Easter Road this season, with the other two ending 1-1 and 1-0 to the home side.
Betting tip: Given the two low-scoring encounters these two have already played out in the capital this season, we shouldn’t be surprised by another low-scoring one this Sunday. That means a bet, at odds of 39/50, on under 2.5 goals should interest punters.
