Friday, April 5th
Inverness v St Johnstone (7.45pm)
Home win: 13/10 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 37/20
Key stat: Only Motherwell have won more points than Inverness over the last six games
Betting tip: The Saints have won 13, drawn 13 and lost 12 of their games this season and those superstitious punters may just fancy that 13th loss to come on Friday against the 3rd best side in the league. Inverness have lost just one of their last eight home league matches (to Celtic) while St Johnstone have won just one away game over the same period. Take the 13/10 on a home win.
Saturday, April 6th
Hearts v Ross County (12 noon)
Home win: 6/5 Draw: 9/4 Away win: 39/20
Key stat: Hearts have won just one of their last 10.
Betting tip: While Hearts have been struggling to find a win, Ross County have lost just twice in 2013. That makes a home win seem unlikely and makes a double chance bet on an away win or draw a bet worth looking at, at odds of 3/5.
Celtic v Hibernian (3.00pm)
Home win: 11/50 Draw: 9/2 Away win: 9/1
Key stat: Celtic have picked up just four points from their last four league games
Betting tip: At 14/5, a double chance bet on a Hibs win or a draw looks a really good shout. Celtic have struggled this season against the Edinburgh side and have won just one of the last four meetings, and with the league title all but wrapped up, the Hoops have little motivation as has been clear the last few weeks. An upset at Celtic Park would not be a surprise.
Dundee United v Aberdeen (3.00pm)
Home win: 5/4 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 19/10
Key stat: The last nine meetings between these two have seen both teams score
Betting tip: This one is a no-brainer. Backing a 10th consecutive United and Aberdeen meeting with goals from either side looks a wise move and could pay off with the 11/17 odds.
Kilmarnock v Dundee (3.00pm)
Home win: 3/5 Draw: 13/5 Away win: 4/1
Key stat: The two teams have drawn 0-0 twice already this season
Betting tip: These sides have yet to get on the scoresheet against each other this year and that is certainly not a good stat for any team trying to sell tickets. For the sake of those fans who do turn up to this one, it would be nice if there was a goal. What would be nicer, however, is a big winner if you back another 0-0 draw at 33/4 odds and it comes off.
Motherwell v St Mirren (3.00pm)
Home win: 9/10 Draw: 23/10 Away win: 27/10
Key stat: Motherwell are the SPL’s in-form team, taking 13 points from the last 18
Betting tip: Saints have had a good few weeks despite struggling at the bottom of the table, winning the League Cup and holding Celtic to a draw, but in-form Motherwell should have too much on their own patch and the 9/10 on a home win looks fair.
