Tuesday, November 27th
Aberdeen v Inverness (7.45pm)
Home win: 11/10 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 11/5
Key stat: Not since early 2008 have these two produced a game of more than 3.5 goals.
Betting tip: You’d have to go back 13 games for the last Highland derby that produced four goals or more. More recent games have been pretty low-scoring and that makes a bet on under 3.5 goals look a smart and safe one at 17/50.
Dundee United v Motherwell (7.45pm)
Home win: 6/5 Draw: 9/4 Away win: 39/20
Key stat: United are yet to win two games in a row this season.
Betting tip: Dundee United just cannot seem to put a run of good results together and are yet to follow up a win with another three points. Having beaten Ross County last weekend, we shouldn’t expect another United victory and should back a Double Chance bet on a draw or away win instead. That is priced at 3/5.
Ross County v St Mirren (7.45pm)
Home win: 13/10 Draw: 21/10 Away win: 19/10
Key stat: These sides have met just four times since 2006, but neither has kept a clean sheet in those four games.
Betting tip: In the four games these sides have played in the last couple of years, all four have seen both sides score, including the 5-4 Saints victory in September. That makes a bet on both sides scoring once again very tempting and this is available at odds of 18/25.
Wednesday, November 28th
Hearts v Celtic (7.45pm)
Home win: 9/2 Draw: 27/10 Away win: 11/20
Key stat: Hearts have scored in just six of the seven games since these two last met.
Betting tip: Hearts have not been too fruitful in front of goal lately and with the champions coming to town, don’t expect that to change. Back an away clean sheet at 21/20, or even an away win to nil at 29/20 for a potentially bigger win.
St Johnstone v Hibernian (7.45pm)
Home win: 23/20 Draw: 11/5 Away win: 21/10
Key stat: Hibs haven’t won away at St Johnstone since 2002.
Betting tip: After two losses in a row, Hibernian will be desperate for three points against a side they haven’t beaten on the road in four attempts. If the Edinburgh side leave without a victory once again then you’ll want to be cashing in on it. Put your punt, therefore, on a Double Chance home win or draw bet, which is priced at 1/3 on bwin.com.
