After defeating Kilmarnock 2-1 before the international break, Terry Butcher’s Inverness will be looking to make it two wins from two when they welcome Hearts on Saturday.
Butcher’s side went into the match against Kilmarnock just three days after League Cup elimination at the hands of Division One’s Ayr and with a solitary point from their five league games.
However, Graeme Shinnie’s 89th-minute winner could be the spark that pushes their season in the right direction and the hosts are rated as 21/10 shots to see off Paulo Sergio’s side.
But if Shinnie’s teammates have lost any momentum from their victory, Hearts will be ready to take advantage and are keen to build on their own victory last time out when they claimed the Edinburgh bragging rights, beating Hibernian 2-0. They are priced at 13/10 to take three points back to the capital.
In their five away games this season, however, Hearts have yet to win and against a physical Inverness side they could struggle once more, making a draw seem a likely outcome, with odds of 21/10. With the two previous games between the sides ending 1-1, a repeat of that scoreline at 23/4 could prove superb value.
Inverness led in both those 1-1 draws, which makes a bet on the hosts to be ahead at half-time and then pegged back for a draw at fulltime, at 13/1, an intriguing, and very possibly rewarding, punt. And those using the £25 free bet available to new customers who sign up for a bwin account could win £350 if that scenario plays out.
With 13 goals in the last four meetings between the clubs, there are also some good bets on the number of goals there will be in the game. For over 2.5 to be scored there are odds of 23/20, while for over 3.5 goals in the game there are odds of 11/4.
